STRATEGIC NARRATIVE INSIGHTS

When & Why: Strategic Narrative Underground Session 10

There are hundreds of stories about your business. Which one should you tell?

The question is not to find which one dominates every other one. You can’t erase stories just like that.

The question is, how do you organize those stories into a coherent system. Then, how do you help people (prospects, clients, employees, partners, investors, everyone) understand why your business exists and how they can participate in it?

That system is called a strategic narrative.

Having one is crucial at three types of moments:

  1. When your business starts: because you need to attract customers, employees, and investors.
  2. When your business grows: you need to keep WHAT you do align with WHY you do it.
  3. When your business matures: because you need to figure out what’s next.

So, pretty much all the time. But most organizations don’t realize this until they’re forced to think about it, and sometimes, it’s unfortunately too late.

Building a strategic narrative is not a magic bullet, but it works in some specific situations.

That’s what we explored last Thursday during Strategic Narrative Underground Session #10.

The Strategic Narrative Underground series of meetings continues every Thursday at 9:00 am PST.

Join the next session this Thursday.

It is free, and it will inspire you to build your strategic narrative.

I am inviting you every Thursday at 9:00 am Pacific to attend a free 30-minute talk+conversation about one of the strategic narrative principles in the book I am writing. I call these meetings Strategic Narrative Underground Sessions.

It is an opportunity to connect, learn and provide input on a piece of work that you might end up using for your own benefit. For me, it’s a chance to test new ideas.

At the end of the call, you will get access to the Google document with the manuscript of my book. Each time you join, you get access to a new pattern. You can join for free as many times as you want.

Register in advance for this meeting here.

Again, it’s free.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about the meeting.
